rice or not?
I don't think I would consider those LED tail lights ricey necessarily, but they're really ugly so I personally would avoid them.
Like others have said, if you want to mess with the tail lights a bit, try a sequential kit. They lights themselves (stock) look pretty much as good as they're gonna get on our cars.

As for sequentials, 1969-73 Cougars, 1969-1971 Thunderbirds, and 1969-70 Shelby Mustangs all had them. I wouldn't call sequentials, or any of those cars, rice - I'd call them either heritage or retro [8D]

LED tail lights started with American, and European luxury sedans. People talk out of their A$$ most of the time when refering to things as rice. I don't like LEDs for me, but I don't think they look bad either.
