Great how-to. Utterly pristine under hood. Complete instructions and safety warning/advice.

I like the concept of feeling the engine to some degree. its a stang! a muscle car, not your mom's Lincoln.

ORIGINAL: JRT1

I just found this write-up, awesome job as always Bill, thank you.
I have been considering this for awhile butI just did the CHE K-member with Torque Liimiters soI wonder if this is needed now.
Does anyone have both mods installed and can comment on this?
I had both installed and even uninstalled the torque limiters. the engine mounts could easily take the place of the torque limiters. Having both is overkill IMO.

I'd recommend turning the 2x4 up on it's end and jacking under the front lip of the oil pan (not on the crank pulley). I ended up doing it that way when removing the bullet mounts and it worked much better. Doing it the other way caused a small crease on either side of my oil pan.

Is this new found torque feel causing any long term metal fatigue on thebody componentsor towers? Sort of like riding on the hard with no springs or shocks.

Default Bad vibration after installing the bullet mounts

I did a short video on getting rid of the vibration from the neoprene mounts.

replace with OEM mounts? any time you firm up the bushings, any of the bushings, your going to transfer more NVH thru the body and notice it in the cabin. I have the prothane mounts and love the way they firmed up the shifting in my 5 speed. yes, there was a noticeable difference in noise but its tolerable IMHO. adding the MGW shifter was by far the best bolt on PERIOD! adding rubber washers is reducing the job of the prothane mounts, albeit small effect but still. your going to have to make a trade off somewhere. good luck
