I do not believe just a CAI/Tune will do it. Although a guy posted on here recently of doing it?

Thanks but it really should have been a better time. I was hot lapping on some 1.99's and waisted a 1.962 on a missed 1-2 Shift.
Oh well the 12.8x will have to wait until next time.

Interesting topic -- Some of the results here are going to be based on how close to sea level they are but even taking that into consideration... I just don't see it happening with just a CAI/ Tune. I'd like to see if someone going to Cal Speedway claims they can do it... I would def go to the track when they are there to verify

I think its possible, its bassically how hard you would abuse your car, powershiffting, riding the clutch at high rpms out of the hole, and power braking your car to really warm the tires....

the sensor built into the seat of my pants tells me i'm doin a 12.5, but it never prints me a time slip. darn thing...
i will defenatly spend a couple weekends at the drags trying to accomplish such a feat with c&l, sct, and stock tires. i'll probably knock em down a couple extra psi to try to pull it off. i usually run my tires from 26-28 psi when racing and 32 psi on the street. anyone found something that works better??

Thats in the neighorhood where I get mid 1.9's. There are also 5 different people (at least) on various boards who have pulled a 1.79-1.83 on stock tires. Most run between 26-30 psi on stock Pirellis. If there is a whole lot of VHT on the track you can drop the hammer at 5500 rpm and smoke the clutch instead of tires even on the stockers. I usually get the best 60' with a 4500 rpm leave and using the clutch to mantain traction or avoid bog. However most of the fast guys leave at 2500-3500 rpm amd just slip/step like leaving a redlight. For some reason my car wants to bog with that leave. Maybe my weight?

My car is a daily drive and I wanted to see just how quick it was just the way I drive it every day.
Full tank of gas and all the crap in the trunk.......ran the 1/4 in 13.5 at 102mph. (best of fours passes)
See sig for bolt-ons

I'm not there yet, but hope to be in the spring.
13.56 is my best time, with the mods in my sig, running about 25psi on the stock tires.
Practice, Practice, Practice...

I have yet to see Adam run ... I see him there all the time with his stang on thrailer but for whatever reason he doesn't run when I'm there (too windy, rainy, mist, etc etc). I normally just bullsh!t with Tony for Larry's Transmission since he always runs ... his stang is pretty dam fast too.

Adam from ST motorsports did it when he just got his 05+ gt and well know its a 800+rhp s197 monster. when he dyno'd my car with just an intake, tune and x pipe he told me i can break 12s cause he did with the same dyno #s i had which were 291 rwhp and 307 tq.
