I have a Diablo Predator and I put the 91 octane tune in my GT. Does anybody know what I should change in the tune if I remove the carbon trap in the intake. I see all kinds of posts that say you need a tune if you remove the carbon trap but nobody say's which one or what to change to make it rich enough. Any info would be helpful.

do you reflash for this or is it part of a flash that is done for induction like CAI?

The Diablo Predator comes with 3 pre-programmed tunes an 87 octane, 91 octane and 93 octane. I installed the 91 octane tune. I just got a reply from DiabloSport and they said I don't need to change anything and they said it will give me an additional 3 - 5 RWHP on top of the 10 - 12 with the 91 octane tune. So i should see 13 - 18 RWHP improvement with what I have.

I asked the question and this is what they gave me for numbers
QUESTION: [I have a stock 2005 Mustang GT with your 91 octain tune. If I remove the carbon trap from the air intake will I lose performance and will it run lean. Should I adjust the tune richer? If so can you tell me how much?]

Dear Mark Thompson,

No it would not run lean, We have seen 3-5 HP increases with this removed.
FYI:
The 87 octane tune is about 8hp 91 is about 10-12hp and the 93 is about 15-18hp These are ball park #s.
