Why do we love so much to mod our mustangs?
Now I'm working on a limited budget as it's no secret that I don't have a lengthy mod list . I just find it interesting how we all share that need for speed or the flare that our stangs give us. My next mod I believe will be the brenspeed drive shaft. Brent told me that most have seen a 1/10 to 2//10s' difference in the quarter mile. Why do we spend so much money just to go a little faster. Why? But we love it. Not only is it important to go fast but it's important for my car to look good. I actually get angry when it rains because then I have to wash the ***** all over again. I 'm constantly on top of the weather report to see if it feasible to wash my car for x amount of days so it will shine. My wife and I have bills and I have to pay child support from the last wife I had. (I collect those). We have mortgage and more important things to worry about but here I am talking on this forum a great amount of my time. I spent 335 dollars on my Mac Axlebacks and my Dad complained that it cheapen the car but yet he has that same priority with his Harley.Today it's been 3 years since I've joined the Mustang Forums and it has been enjoyable as hell. Merry Christmas everyone. If a moderator reads this tell me how I may get that contributor banner. I like to donate if it isn't too much money. By the way how many car lengths is a tenth of a mile anyone?

we love it cause without the mods its just another stang. no offense to sixers, but i hate it when i see a v6 vert with a teenage girl in it who got it just because of the drop top.

Or to even sound nastier a v-6 dressed to the hilt with window louvers , rims with 20 inch tires , ground effects but equipped with a v-6. I mean if you want to look good that's one thing but all that show and still you can't race. God I hope I didn't offend anyone here?

We do it cause we are a different breed, because our cars mean something to us. They don't just get us from point A to B. They are a part of the family. Thats what Mustangs do. Merry Christmas!

I will follow this thread with interest because it has always baffled me why folks spend money to devalue their cars.

The value usually goes up if lets say i put a procharger on it ( will be very shortly) or any other mods like i my sig.
Anyway i mod the car to make it one of a kind, so it not just another mustang
Since everyone has a mustang its nice to make it diffrent
I mod it to get more power out of it cause after a while the stock mustang gets boring to drive. In a nut shell I mod my car for Fun. You have to pay to play

Well stay baffled then, if it's the best you can do.
Did it occur to you that some of us don't give a rat's @ss about the value of our cars? Some of us will keep them till they drop or rust out, some of us make a living at this.
The first feeling you get when you mod, is to make your car your own. That my friend, is priceless, thus valuable.
