Default cam follower problem

Hey guys, I have had a heck of a time. I own an '06 mustang gt with stage 2 comp cams, ported heads by Fox Lake, udp, MAC headers, JLT intake, Bassani x-pipe, custom sct tune, Granetelli throttle body, 4.10's, and a zoom stage 3 clutch. My problem is, I keep having cam follower failures. Today I noticed the dreaded ticking from the engine. I pulled the vavle cover and reached in and pulled out rthe cam follower without any need for tools. it just fell out. the bearings on the follower have failed again. This will be second time that I will replace one of them. This time I plan on replacing ALL of them. Does anyone know why I keep having this problem. Thank you for any help.

Default RE: cam follower problem

Who installed your cams and how long have they been in the car? When was the first failure?

Default RE: cam follower problem

Hey Blackout, Nice ride. Mine is also black. The cams were installed in April of this year. This was done at a performance shop here in Tulsa. I was there every minute of the process. We also installed the ported heads at the same time. The car was taken to Archangel Motorsports for tuning. The first failure happened in July. It was just one follower. The passenger side rear cylinder. This one is also on the passenger side but second cylinder back. I do race my car. and shift around 6500. The limiter is set at 6700. The ported heads received Nextech springs, but stock retainers and guides. I have obviously voided any warranty. I don't care. I really just want to get an understanding about what is happening and how I can prevent it from appening again. BTW thanks for the quick response.
