CDC hood struts dont hold up hood!?
Bummer, christmas morning, rush into my garage, holding the hood struts, wearing my new mechanics gloves, put the hood struts on according to the instructions, stand back.... and watch the hood fall shut. It wont stay open with the Supplied nitrogen gas springs. I assume this is because i have a Cervini B2 shaker ram air hood( it may weight a few more pounds than stock) but being all fiberglass i didnt think it would. Anyways, it feels close to staying up, but still doesnt. Does anyone have any ideas? It is installed correctly! -Jon

Fill the cavities in the hood with helium?
Modify the brackets to accept another
pair of nitrogen gas springs and buy another
hood strut kit for the hardware parts neeed
and the 2 nitrogen gas springs?

Plus one....
Don't know what the fiberglass hood weighs, but the CDC's actually force the stock hood (with added scoop) open beyond stock location......
