Default x-pipe & cat-back benefit?

I'm getting mixed answers on this.

In looking at Magnaflow's catted x-pipe & cat-back, the manufacture is claiming 10+ rwhp without a tune. In talking to my dyno guy, he claims his testing has only seen about 2 rwhp with other x-pipe tests (non-Magnafow). Given he has not specifically tested Magnaflow x-pipe & cat-back combo, I'm not sure if there will be any substantial (10+ rwhp) benefit with replacing this much exhaust (~$1,000 USD). I'm partly leaning toward simply the axle-back for the sound/tips only. Does anyone have any real-world data/views on x-pipe replacements & the hp results?

The cost-to-hp ratio seems unreasonable for such a small increase. Comments?

Default RE: x-pipe & cat-back benefit?

I was at the Ford dealership today and I was getting my rattle fix and thats another story but anyway after questioning him and others there they informed me that the Ford Exhaust is perfectly tuned and a lot better breathing than the old mustangs and that I shouldn't worry about changing anything. But its a free world and I personally would like a little bit more sound.
