Default Missing motor mount bracket bolt...

I always screw somethig up. yup, im the red locktite guy!

Anyways... I did the headers install a few weeks ago, and today I got under the car to maybe tighten header bolts and just look around... Saw that a bolt on the passenger side motor mount bracket is missing! Argh.

Am I safe to drive it? Or will the engine jump up through the hood and land on my head?

I know its an absurd long shot... anyone know what size bolt replaces it?

Yikes.

If I remember correctly, from last time I gazed into my engine compartment, those are pretty hefty bolts.

To even it out, unbolt the other one and take it for a drive.

No, but seriously, I'd want to have bolts from Ford. lol.

Is it the one of the two bolts that holds the mount to the frame (as opposed to the nut the fastens the engine to the mount)?

If so, I'd think you'd be ok for now, just don't romp on it. Sorry I can't get you the size - the Hanynes manual doesn't list it - maybe your Ford dealer can look it up..

NOTE: "THIS IS NOT A SERIOUS RESPONSE TO THIS THREAD"

You don't need bolts, just put some Red Lock-tite on it.

I wouldn't drive it. It shouldn't be hard to pick up a bolt from Ford.

Just don't take any chances.

Its not a bolt on the motor mount. Its a bolt on the bracket that attaches the motor mount to the block... My guess is I stupidly forgot to tighten or in all of my glory did not even install it and have been driving since thanksgiving like this.

Stop worshipping me I swear im human
