The difference from the K & N versus stock was negligible. Only once I added the tunes did I see a (big) difference. People knock the K&N, opting to go for the JLT or C & L or similar, but the difference between all the popular CAIs is a few horsepower max (nothing you would ever feel). The tune is what makes all the difference in the world.

I received a K&N Aircharger CAI from my wife for Christmas and also have have an SCT XCAL2 from Brenspeed on order (87, 91 and 93 tunes). I wanted to get some feedback from the guys that use this CAI/tune comboto see how they like it. I know the K&N doesn't produce as much HP gain as some of the other CAIs, but it's not that big a deal to me. I'm looking for improved throttle response (which i know the tune should do) and improved performance. Thanks!

We have a Bama (Me)and a VMP (American Speed).
If the Brenspeed is like my Bama try this test. Roll along 3500 rpm in 1st with Trac Control Off and then punch it. Do a 1-2 powershift before you let off. Now load tune and try it again....
PS make sure your pointed absolutely straight and pay close attention to the tach.
