Does the computer calculate "Miles until empty"

I remember the day i got the car (1600) miles it was like 320 miles on a full tank, couple of weeks later it dropped down to around 250, and has stayed in that range for last 2-3 weeks. Tonight i filler her up and its fking 190 miles on a full tank...

How many gallons is our fuel tank? 320 sounds like it should be about right if the tank size is around 15 gallons. Does it show a lot of variation depending upon how you are driving (WOT)?

No it doesnt. Its really weird. I drive WOT alot, and usually when i do, i get 13 mpg, but now its been stuck at 14.1 and ive been driving nothing but WOT. Anyway to get this thing fixed?

I might have to trade my car in for something like this...

It averages your fuel useage over time and uses that value. Mathematically that allows for a more accurate estimation as the remaining fuel level get's low.

More than likely it takes the amount of fuel you have left and it calulates your average or current MPG.

So if you WOT it a lot, you'll end up with 200mte on a full tank, but if you baby that very tank and get like.. 320miles out of the tank, your computer will just average it out and say you'll get a solid 260 out of the next one.

That how my old car used to do it.
