i've installed several brands of auto window modules. from experience, they sometimes get in the way of the Auto windows feature. It works fine on cars w/o auto feature but some cars get a delayed signal b/c it has to channel thru the module, that the oem auto motor/sensor believes that there is an obstruction between the window and door, so the motor stops. (its a standard safety feature)

but theres only one way to find out if its for you. Also, regular window roll time was seen to be slowed even more.

well, first attempt failed. module worked just like it was suppose to,problem is these cars are wired in such a way that every thing is relay driven,so the window motors wont operate with out the ignition on.so i will have to find the relays for the windows and possibly make them hot at all times.

u wont need to make them hot.

where did you tap for the window wires? usually, i get it straight from the window switches on the door itself. (u're supposed to get them there anyways)

i went right to the switchs. i think whats going on is our mustang uses a relay system, every other car i have put one of these on it just goes between the switch and the motor, usually 14 gauage wire is present.on our switchs it is more like 18 gauge wire so i know they dont actually go to the motor, they must go to a relay somewhere that actually control the motor from there,so if 86/85 is not hot with the car off then there would be no way for the module to work with out the key,so unless i fiond something else out,im pretty much stuck until i fiond those relays.the good news is that with this relay system, the module should work great becuase there wont be much of a load at all going through it,on my f150 i noticed the windows got slower because all the power was coming through the module.
