If so do you know of a good shop in your area that knows what there doing, on the 05 GT I would like to get mine done.

 

Haven't thought about any mods yet. To be honest, I don't know a whole lot about what's available and what they will do for me. WIll need to look into it more.

 

I checked the 800 number today and it said "As of April 28th my order will be built the week of April 25th" Anyone else ever hear something like that? Can I assume that they are looking to build my car on 4/28?

 

Without a vin #, you have nothing. I am not a dealer nor do I have any specific information, but... I went to 3 different dealers in the New York suburban area. ALL 3 told me my car had to be ordered, however, if I was willing to pay a premium, ($3,000.00) over sticker, they might be able to find one for me. I know there are legitimate dealers out there, but if you are waiting more than 8 weeks, someone else is probably driving your car.

If you have a vin #, chances are very good they will deliver the car. Call the dealership often and politely request specific information about actual delivery date. The minute you feel that you might be getting the runaround, log onto FORD.com and go to customer relations. Shoot off a e-mail to "Ask Kate" Describe your situation and you will get a response in 24/48 hours. Best of Luck with your new ride!!!!!!!

I just found this forum today...

I have been having a difficult time getting the 05 GT I want... After searching lots all over Ontario, Canada... I decided to order one.

I ordered it on the 23rd of April which was a Saturday... At that time the dealer said it should be ready in 6 - 8 weeks... Does that sound like a genuine ETA...? If worse comes to worse the latest I should have it would be the last week of June. Has anyone had problems or delays with their orders?

If the dealer you ordered from does not have any Mustang GT's in his order bank, then 6 to 8 weeks is possible. Although, I find it hard to believe your dealer has an allocation available for you instantly. Most of my orders take about 4 to 5 weeks before Ford assigns a VIN - then my customers need to wait 6 to 8 weeks to get the vehicle.

 

I'm in London, Ont. I ordered mine on Mar.29 and the dealer said it would be 4-6 weeks. They were going to change one of their allocation orders- I suppose this would speed things up because your already in the system and not the last order on the pile.
I called last week and asked them to check when I might be getting it. They told me they had a build date of mid May and that probably 1st week of June it would be here. The vehicle was not yet serialized.
Not sure there is anything you can do to speed things up- it get here when it gets here.

 

My order date is 3-11. I call the 800 number every day. Latest info "as of May 6 your order is clean and unscheduled". Damn. It's been over 8 weeks since my order date and still C/U!
