I'm almost done installing my radar detector.. just one problem. I am not 100% positive where the fusebox is so I can get some power to it. The driverside fusebox.

Check in the trunk as well. Quick question why buy a silver car and paint it yellow and black?

I knew the passenger side. Less I'm misunderstanding the manual there should be one on the drive side.

If not... crap.. the cable is designed for a driverside box.. inotherwords it's to short.

Grr I have a caple that you screw into place for power.

For a visual: ------O it's O loop at the end which you screw into place.

I found a similar screw have it in place however no power is going to the radar detector. =x

Sorry man. But if it was me, I would clip the "O" connector off the end of your wire, splice a longer piece of wire on, and us an Add A Fuse at the passenger side fuse box....

Or, depending upon where you mounted your radar detector, you could also run the wire up the pillar on the drivers side, and tap in under the overhead console. Option 1 would be preferred, I believe....

I just wired my excort x50 the other day with the hardwire kit and used the Add a Fuse connector. Use fuse spot number 13 (its empty and switched), that way your detector will turn on and off with the car. Also make sure you have extra fuses to put in the side of the add a fuse connector, or else it will not send any power to the radar detector. If anyone knows of a good place to mount the remote mute button, can you please post a picture?
