Well driving around today. I missed 2nd gear. Guess I have to get used to pulling it over to the driver side when shifting from first. But it goes right into 3rd and 4th very smoothly and easily. I accidently put it in 4th gear instead of 2nd, I was sitting in traffic wondering why I wasn't going anywhere lol.

The feel is different, prolly why you missed gears.

The return springs take some getting used to for sure! I have to conciously push it left right to make sure I'm in the right gear. But it's soooooo smooth, wouldn't trade it for the world. Gives the whole shifting action a solid, hefty feel.With my new MGWI sometimes wonder ifthere's still a tremec 3650 under there .

I put mine in the day before xmas took about an hour with out vice grips. I ended up getting the 3/8 x16 thread Im wondering if I should have gotten the other size, summit sent me the wrong size at first.[:'(]then today just got my hurst ball in ( its a stiff shift with out a ball)
but all excited to thread the ball on and it doesnt want to fit! [:@]but its on now! the brass insert is a little softer than the shifter threads luckily

word thanks alot , you guys think I need to scrap the hurst ball and get an mgw?? I read on here some one said the mgw ball was bigger I cant have that. the last hurst they sent me had no name on it but didnt fit, thent this shows up with hurst on it , I can hear it now " is that a hurst shifer?" oh well works for me laters

no, the hurst ball looks good. I have a black roush ball just the same as yours. I just have the one for the 12mm stalk...same as the stock handle threads.
