My g/f gave me the MGW shifter for Christmas and I was totally thirlled. When I opened it there was the shifter and a bundle wrapped in plastic with all the other parts for it. The shifter didn't have the bar and front linkage attached to it so I assumed it was in the bundle which I didn't open since I was going to have Mustang Specialties install it for me. Well I went in to have it installed and they removed my stock shifter and started reading the instructions (they had never seen this shifter before) and started the install. A while later the installer came out and asked if I had any other parts for it at home and I said no. What was missing was the bar with the front linkage. I couldn't believe it but these guys are a verywell known for their service and are not known to rip off thier customers. I called my g/f and she said she wrapped everything that was sent to her. Needless to say I was in a bind because they told me I could either have them reinstall the stock shifter, charge me the 85.00 labor or they could install a hurst shifter they had in stock. Having driven 21 miles to the shop andnot wanting to pay the labor charge and get nothing I opted for the hurst. I was kind of disappointed because I don't have the BMW but the hurst shifter is still awesome and really like it. I called Gearge at MGW and told him the situation and he said just send it back and he'll give my g/f her money back.

Sucks to be caught in a situation like that. "It's one of those things" I suppose but really the guys at MGW should take more care about sending stuff out with missing parts like that, it can onlycause the exact thing you experienced.

At least you got a good shifter, lucky they had it in stock

Man, that Hurst!

Don't feel too bad, the Hurst is so much an improvment from the stocker unit, it's hard to turn it down.

What a strange story. I'm sorry to hear your problem, it's a shame because I think you'd have been happier with the MGW. You are correct, MGW is known for they're customer service and attention to detail. This is an unusual case. Glad to hear you're happy with the Hurst. Sounds like you made lemonade.

I think the Hurst looks better anyways. So you maynot have gotten the "BMW" But you did get the Audi. (I think Audi looks better..)
