performance.....(got the car done today)

RE: performance.....(got the car done today)
when I had the brenspeed 93 oct tune I dyno'd at 297 on his dyno. then after he tuned it I was at 312. keep in mind this is a dynojet not a mustang dyno and I don't believe that number had any correction on ie (SAE is what most use correct?) so take it how you want. I've been running my car (hard) for over a year on that tune with absolutely no regrets. I would put up some good times at the strip if I could launch worth a damn. My trap speed was 106 on my best run.... you do the math.
anyway... stanghi is a very reputable place around here. he does all kinds of mustangs there and I've seen several lightnings and a ford gt there too. He had some cars at the fun ford weekend here that he had supercharged. I won't even tell you the hp numbers because I'll get flamed again. [8D]

see there is no way you are @ 312 with just a tune/CAI
Stock dynos are about 260-265 for manual and 250-260 for auto
so 312 means you are gaining 47 with just a CAI tune on the low side and well over 50 on the high...sorry

Matt, it's even worse...
He only has a C&l intake, no tune.
I be strokin' to the Est, I be strokin' to the West and the one that I love the best... However that goes.

I'm not going to argue because I didn't operatet the dyno, but I can tell you that i felt a noticable difference in the 93 oct mail order tune and his dyno tune. maybe my car will blow up, maybe I'll win the lottery... who knows.

You have to know that these people are not your familly...
They will tell you what you wanna hear. It's good business. You know, like a salesman.
Dynos are no bibles either, there is room for error. Mostly from operators.
A CAI and tune will not give you 40+ REARwhp unfortunatly. If it did, we would know.
Having said that, you sure feel a difference with 20rwhp.
Out of curiosity, see if you can test drive a friend Stang with a goodCAI/tune that was installed by someone else. Chances are,you will see little difference in performance between yours and the other one.
Just don't buy everything you hear.

With 312rwhp, i'd expect a 108mph trap speed on every run.(assuming your track isn't at 3,000-5,000 feet) My best trap was 106 with just the jlt2 and brenspeeds tune.
46rwhp with just intake/tune and O/R X is ridiculous! If it were that easy to gain horsepower, then nobody would buy blowers.
Anyone have their dyno sheet handy?
