Default Tire Pressure Monitor Light Blinks...

I have a new to me 07 v6 convertible stick with ABS, Traction Control, and the standard Tire Pressure Monitor System with 17" GT wheels. More often than not at startup the TPMS warning light will blink on and off for about 20 seconds, then goes out. I have checked Tire Pressure on fire tires and spare, all are good and the four road wheels are within a half pound of each other.

Is this normal or not? Thanks.

There is most likely a bad sensor. I would have it taken in. It may say this in the owners manual that its a problem in the system.

if all the pressures are good then it would have to be a sensor problem. take it to the dealer and have them fix it.

if it only blinks for 20 secs. right after u start it up it could just be a bulb check for your instrument cluster lights

For the record, I took it back to dealer. The 17" GT wheels they swapped onto the car had no monitors inside. oops. They ordered the parts, and will install at their expense. So its all good. I post this just so people with a short blinking light would know that--at least in this cae--it was a sign of no sensors being present.
