I had a local shop order and install my clear bra. Cost me $675 including headlamps and fogs. They do most of the local dealer applications to, including stripes for a major Ford dealer.

Thanks for the info, i have been looking all over since i saw one on the front of a 05 Saleen and there wasnt a chip on it.

Ok guys, I installed my strut tower caps today which probably took less than 5 minutes, but here are a few pointers based on my installation experience. First, the main strut tower cap is equipped with an o-ring but the smaller caps are not, no biggie. Well, I know just how neurotic some of us can be about our paint and I didn’t want the smaller caps sitting directly on my paint even though it is under the hood. Here’s my solution … I went to Lowe’s and purchased 8 rubber washers, 7/16 X 1 X 1/16, when you install them you’ll have to stretch them over the nut at the base of the bolt, they cover the area very well, and are the exact diameter of the base of the smaller caps. I also used loctite blue, removable loctite, just to be on the safe side and hand snugged them down. I figured I’d post because I know some of you guys purchased them after seeing my post yesterday. Here a few pics…

Anyone see a problem using these with a Strut tower bar?

since they look like caps I think they'd work. Certainly u could use them on the nuts not holding the STB down....

You know...I thought about that, I think there is plenty of hood clearence, but the problem might be getting the threds on the cap to grab due to the brace and it's secureing system.

 

Im gonna go look when I get a chance to see how much of the stud is sticking out.
If anything the center cap is what is needed the most. Butt ugly rusty thang

 

Nice looking caps, but I do think it would be a problem on the four nuts used to secure the STB. Too bad, because they are nice, and a great price.....
