Thanks for the install tips ! Despite my earlier whine that they didn't ship to Canada, they replied to me email and are shipping to me at a reasonable shipping rate too
$675 ?? Holy Mary Mother of God ! My local shop were going to run me a fraction of that ! It's a huge shop andhave the whole 3M cutting machine in house etc, but even so !! i seem to remember them wanting like $200 inc lights & blinkers although they actually did it for free in the end as they used the car as a display piece on their Open-Day.

I had a local shop order and install my clear bra. Cost me $675 including headlamps and fogs. They do most of the local dealer applications to, including stripes for a major Ford dealer.

+1 to that Stoenr. I have been looking at a pair of threaded center caps on E Bay, just haven't pulled the trigger yet. I think they are like 36 bucks just for the center threaded caps. This set is a great deal, but I really believe the mounting nuts will be a problem.

I think for the price you guys should pull the trigger. I think all the caps will secure fine except maybe the four closest to the engine, the ones the brace secures to. In the worst case, you can use another method to secure these 4 caps, 3M tape etc... Maybe drill out the treads to a larger diameter to give you some room and just cap'em.

I was wondering how the center cap installed. I have Tokico D-specs. Would it be possible to drill out the center so the Strut adjustment could still be reached or perhaps protrude through?
I found a big problem with the center cap. Installed it defeats the purpose of the isolation rubber in the strut mount by tieing the strut to the body resulting in the dreaded front end clunkinging sound when going over bumps. I installed these 2 days ago and took the car out this morning and within 100 ft of the driveway I started to hear that dreaded clunking sound again, this time from both sides. I replaced both ofthe flawed originalstrutmounts last summerbtw. Drove for 1/2 hour cringing and pulled back into the garage. Pulled one center cap off and left one on then jacked up the front end.Could not get the cap that was left on off nor could I get the one left off on.As I lowered the front end I eyed the center strut bolt and watched itrise a good 1/4- 3/8" Removed both centers and went for a ride down my local bumpy and all was quiet. They do look nice but no way in hell am I putting up with that freaking clunking again. I'm going to hit up my buddys machine shop and have him turn that lip off the center cap so it covers the bolt and fits within the hole but does not interfere with the body.

Did anyone else run into the thunking problem after installing these things? I have mine here but haven't got to the car to install them as yet. I could save myself the trouble by not bothering if they are clunking for everybody.................
