Default Check Gas cap and 0607 code...

I have an 06 GT automatic and I just recently had intake, 4.10 gears and exhaust installed by a reputable Mustang performance shop. I've had to take it back therea coupletimes already because it was throwing a code and because it seemed to be shifting a little too hard. This time its throwing code 0607. I also have a problem when the car is cold. I start it up and it will idle normal for a minute, but then it slows down and almost stalls before jumping back up.It will keep doing this over and over. Also on the dash the "check gas cap" comes up. Sometimes it will actually stall out, and sometimes it will keep jumping back up. It does this until the engine is warmed and then there is no problem.

Is this problem due to the tuning? Apparently the Tech doing it is a certified SCT tuner...

yea.. it said that there is a problem with the performance module..
it seems like if its stalling and the check gas light comes on that maybe its not getting enough gas??

The check gas cap light is just that.
Check your gas cap. Is it on tight?

its tight. It only says check gas cap when the idle drops real fast and its about to stall. I was just out in the garage and turned it on and it did the same thing. I noticed that when it almost dies and jumps back the temperature reading goes way up and then immediately slowly starts to fall. When the temp reaches below the cold line, thats when it tries to stall out again and it keeps repeating this until it does die or until the car is warmed up...

Im hoping that its a tune problem, because Im taking it up to the shop tomorrow. Problem is that the shop that I go to is about 30 mins away so everytime it throws a code i have to keep going up there.

Do you think this is a tune problem?

Thanks for the info!!

Custom tunes tend to make issues that were just arising prior to the tune more noticeable after the tune. The uneven idle may be due to a dirty TB which is quite common on these S197's. I'd almost want to take a WAG that the idle drop is causing a momentary low voltage condition (and, btw, the S197 charging system; battery and alternator; are garbage and also chronic issues) which could possibly be the reason the gas cap indication is popping up (many an alternator issue have caused the gas cap warning). Of course, I could be all hosed and it may BE the tune.
