Hmmm how long did it take you? I'm considering this and just paying them for a dyno tune...

Not a bad price. I paid a little over $1,000 for my Zex kit & racers kit. Then HT0 plugs --$100, I did all of the install myself, and dyno tuning run me a little over $350(already had XCAL II)----So that's a little over $1450. If you consider its $550 installation--its not a terrible price. I would consider going with the Zex traction control device over a window switch tho---its programmable to select which gears you spray in, as well as RPM.
It took me about 4-5 hours installing the base kit. Then about a full day installing the heater, purge, bottle opener, and traction control device. I am very picky when it comes to wiring and every little detail, so it may depend on you for that. I also work on cars for a living, so you could say that I have some experience. Not a bad install--will take basic hand tools, and you will have to drill a few holes in the trunk floor(no big deal). A helpful hint, you can tap into the power point in the console for a switched powersource. I choose to run a relay myself.

I got off the phone with a guy in town and that's what he said it will be for a top notch nitrous kit installed on the 07.
Zex basic kit
racer's kit
MSD window switch
Dyno tune
NGK plugs
What kind of guarantee/warranty do you get with that? What's the shop's reputation around town or with the BBB?

The money's not the problem, I have two other F/I vehicles (1 turbo, 1 s/c) and I want to keep this one n/a for now.
Correct me if I am wrong....NOS is a form of F/I which means your car would not be N/A after NOS install

I believe you are wrong. "Forced Induction" means just that, forcing more air into the engine. Nitrous is classified as just a "power adder". it's a very gray area [8D]

"Forced induction is a term used to describe internal combustion engines that are not naturally aspirated. Instead, a gas compressor is added to the air intake, thereby increasing the quantity of oxygen available for combustion. This compressed air is normally referred to as Boost or charge air."

I know what NOS is so I was second guessing myself after stating that. For some reason, I remember hearing there were three types of FI...turbo, blower and NOS...oh well...I do not think it is classified as N/A regardless...thanks for the info uberhax0r

Nitrous cars are still N/A. The giggle juice just helps with the combustion properties of gasoline, it doesn't force air "per se"

Its actually not hard to do. i would install it yourself.

Buy the ZEX kit from brenspeed for 569 Shipped. They will give you free tunes if you buy from them.

Really there is no need for the purge unless your all out racing, but when installed its cool if they have it aiming somewhere cool. Otherwise pass. Pass also on the remote bottle opener. Just get out and open it. Most the time I'm running friends, so this isnt hard. or you can place it behind the back passenger seat, If your single and dont have any kids. Also most the time you come in contact with someone wanting to race its too crowded to bang the gears with it.

The only thing I wouldget is thebottle heater and plugs. That is a must.

Blueherd, check with Brenspeed, seems a bit steep.
