window decals

So having my local mustang club's sticker on my side window is rice? You're nuts. And yes, I was alive in the 70's (and 60's) and cars have had stickers on them all that time. I suppose NASCAR is rice. (Though I'm not ready to go quite that far yet with my DD) I think some people aren't happy unless they have something to bitch about.
Whoops. Maybe you're right. Look at this "Ricey" ride.

Please.

Please don't cunfuse the Boss decals or even the Trans AM Eagle with stickers. The ones I am talking about are the STP, Hooker Headers, Slick 50 etc that get plastered all over the windows and suck. None stock add-ons. I'm not a big fan of the full front window Saleen sticker but I guess they have to promote the modded car in some fashion. But that small round sticker on the Boss isn't viewed by me as a positive item. Takes away from it. Not a huge fan of the nipple brown paint job either.
I'm not talking about the Boss sticker either. (I guess I'd consider that a graphic.) If you don't like something does that make it "Rice"? (Apparently then nipple brown is rice too.)
Hooker Headers, Von Dutch, Rat Rods, all were on deuce coupes dragging WoodwardBoulevard before even I was born. As far as I can tell, the Japanese never got into that market.

Rice is a generic term that is probably use too frequently these days. TO some, it may mean a ride that is of poor taste and loadedwith aftermarket goodies. To me, it means something different. I choose the meaning to be a ride that is of lessor quality right off the show room floor, or one that has some questionable after market items thatare non functionable, or one that has items that take away from the original theme of the car. Call it resto-mod, ricer, rice, rice-a-roni whatever. Just because the ride has origins back to Japan doesn't make it a ricer. A Lexus isn't a ricer. I wouldn't consider the Z cars rice.

I can't believe it when I see a nice new car with a bumper sticker stuck to the rear bumper. So far, I haven't seen one on a Mustang yet. I guess we have more sense!

I saw one the other day on a 2005 GT Vert. It Said.......HILLARY
I almost took one for the team and scratched it off.
It's your car, do what you want. Depending on what you choose, you may need thick skin, but it's not like anyone on here giving you crap is a friend. If so, just get better friends [8D]

You hit the nail on the head. It's his car. Fix it like he wants. No one on here is going to convince me to get a CAI. They would however have an easy time of it with a shaker scoop, and some back slats.

Unless you are going to the track every so often, are sponsored, or plan on really building up your car,I say there's no reason to advertise.
