Default 24mm or 40mm offset?

I'm going to be getting the American Racing Razor wheels, but not sure what offset to go with. The tires will be 255/35 and the wheels will be 20/9 and I can either get them in 24mm or 40mm offset. I heard with the 24mm offset the tires will stick out about 1/4" past the fenders. Anyone knowhow the40mm offset wheels would sit? I remember reading the 40mm offset would be better if your planning on lowering the car, which I will be doing. But then I've seen lowered cars with 24mm offset. So I'm confused

40mm will sit pretty good inside the fenders, a look I personally don't like, they look like the stockers do. I actually like the 24mm in the back, they give the car a meaner wider stance.

I would not go with the 24mm offset, 45 mm is what our stock rims are and I would try to stay as close aspossible to 45mm than futher away (40mm >24mm) I would not go 24mm imo.

I actually just bought wheels with a 24mm offset, I will have them mounted tomorrow, so if you want pics before buying your wheels I'll be happy to post them in the morning when I have them on the car.

Lots of pics here:

Both cars have 20x9 24mm offset Razors with 275-35 tires all the way around.

BTW, your car is awesome, Paleoc. I followed that build progress thread in the other forum and came really close to going that route a bunch of times.

The 24mm offset do not stick out past the fenders with a 255mm tire.

Hmmm maybe its just me but see how the left rear wheel/tire sticks out farther from the wheel well.It just doesn't look right (kinda like the axles are walking out)to me or balanced where I think a 40mm would bring the wheel/tire in more under the wheel well, whichwould look better imo its just my opinion and what I would go with.

Thanks for all the pics! They look good to me I'd still like to see what the 40mm offset would look like before I make a choice. I'm liking those 275's all around. Hmm... more decisions[:@] What's everyones take on the wider tires in the front? I want to stick with the same all around so I can rotate and was originally going to go with the 255's, but I dunno now.

I have wide in the front [285 30 20] and rear, because I like the look. it does track a little more but the looks are worth it. go with 24mm
