I need help installing door subs.
I have a Pioneer AVIC-Z1 with Infinity Kappas all the way around and Pioneer Premier TS-SW841 subs in the door. I'm new at this, I know, but how the hell do I power the door subs? Very dumb question I know but I can't get it at all. Please help.

RE: I need help installing door subs.
im looking to installing 8" kicker midbass speakers in my doors, but i dont have the shaker 500 already in it. i had the base stereo replaced with an eclipe headunit, polk 5x7s a kicker 350.4 amp and a 12" L5 with a kicker 750.1 amp. can i add the door speakers easily? can i do it without the shaker door panels? my plan is to run two of my 5x7's through the headunit and bridge the 350.4 and use it asa two channel. is that gonna work? if you can help me out i'd appreciate it. thanks.

OK let me rephrase....yes it can be done, anything can be done if you throw enough money at it! You have to permanently cut holes in your door panel and add all of the wiring yourself. There is an enclosure already there if you have the shaker system. Not sure if an enclosure exists for the stock non shaker doors or not. The doors are already prone to rattles with the shaker system as it is. I replaced my subs with some fosgates for cleaner sounding bass. The volume went down since the stock subs are actually some 3.7 ohm or something subs. But the bass is tighter and sounds like midbass more than anything else. I have a JL audio 12 in the trunk for actually bass anyway. Looking back now i would rather have gotten the stock system anyway. I put a Z1 and infinitys in as it was with the sub, so really the door subs are not needed.
You are free to take it to a audio shop i promise you they will do whatever you want without an issue

i know. thats what i was planning on. i have the right amp for the speakers once its bridged, and so i figure if i can get more out of what i have with only buying the speakers and paying for install and getting 300 or so more watts and a fuller sound, why not? i also need to figure out if i can run the two extra speakers (making it a 7 speaker system really cause theyre bridged and taking up a 4channel amp + 2 speakerd direct from the h/u + mono amp) or not.
