What's your old steering wheel look like, and do you want to sell it?
The old steering wheel is the base model plastic steering wheel. Not leather or anything. It's for sale if you want it but don't you want one a little nicer in that thing?
Oh, I thought it might be the standard GT leather wheel. I just have the Deluxe wheel myself, and I want to swap it out for something that matches the rest of the car and interior. Just don't want to spend $400 and worry about setting thr airbag off in the process. []

It's carved and then cast. Here is the process:

Sweet thanks for the tips. so the final product is cast resin? I'll have to look in to some low melting point metals. Casting silicone is good for 450 degrees, i think. After that I guess you gotta start looking into lost-wax casting.

Suoperdave - Please let us know if that wheel is any smaller in diameter than the original. Is there any way you could take some pics of the old over the new so we could see???

I'm really wanting an aftermarket wheel and that one is the only option. Just wondering if it's any smaller than the original "hoola hoop" wheel.

Thanks!!!
