Do V6 Mustangs have a different roofline shape than GTs? I mean, theres nothing to distinguish a GT from a V6 other than badges, wheels, foglights, and ground clearance correct?

My friend swears he can tell a S197 V6 Mustang from a GT just by looking at a side profile because the shape is different... I'm calling BS because V6's and GT's use the exact same body shape... am I right?

Yes and no, I can tell a v6 from the side too... Not buy body lines so much, but all the other differences..

Side by side my Dad's 6 and mine have the same roofline but do look different from the other options.

theyre both same, except for front and rear fascia, front grill (+ fogs), mufflers, side skirts, and wheels

What makes them look different and is mostly unnoticed is the black plastic rocker panel on the V6 while the GT is painted

And "usually" the sixers have the Mustang stripe at the bottom along the side.

Yeah I noticed that too. Even the rental V6 I had for awhile had that. I think it's a big improvment on the regular V6's because it draws attention away from the stock iron wheels that are kinda ugly imo. I think they also slightly improve the look for other Mustangs as well depending on color.

You can also tell by lifting the hood.

Like they all said, i find it easy to tell from the side profile as well though.
