Default any 06 model stangs?

Do any of you guys in an 06 have an additional 5yr/60,000 mile powertrainwarranty? I went in today for some work on my car, while I was there I asked about an extended warranty. The service advisor informed me I had a complimenery warranty of 5yrs/60k miles on the powertrain.I was like wtfI would know this hell I sold the car to myself. He remembered who I was since I sold cars there for 8 months and told me he cansell me thepremium 5 yr 75k warranty for only 750.00. He said it was employee price. Do you think I should purchase the warranty? I do intend on keeping this car for a while.

I vaguely remember the warranty change going on some time in 2006, so may yours had it. Call Ford customer service, they'll let you know. My 2006 was purchased in Jan 2006 and is 3/36k.

No I wouldn't purchase the warranty. You probably won't get your money out of it.

If you purchased your car after July 14 ( I think), 2006 ... you automatically have the 5/60 power-train warranty but with a $100 deductible after the 3/36 expires.

The 5 yr/60,000 warranty went into effect on April of 06. I remember because it was six months after I got my car. I was pissed. So, you may have the warranty. I didn't get the extended warranty because its a waste imo.

sweet!!! no need for the scan, the service advisor gave me a copy of it so that I could keep. Him and a couple other advisorssaid they hadnever seen that before. My car was purchased 08/26/06. premium warranty covers500 + parts for 750 dollars. Idont think it was a bad idea for peace of mind. Igonna sleep on it. I only was leaning towardsthe ESPdue to the fact he remembered me and said I would get it for employee price.
So me and the service manager drove the car around the block.....now I never really hear the "thunking" noise in my car too much, as a matter of fact I didnt hear it on the drive around the block. But as we were driving I said hey do you hear that thunking noise from the front he said yes.[sm=bounceybounce.gif]He told me that there was a TSB out for it and for me to leave it or schedule an appointment for monday to take care of it. Now for the stupid rattle in my passanger door[:@]

It wasn't April '06 because that was when I bought my car - it was a couple of months later, July like someone else said. (and I was PO'd too that they waited to offer the extended warranty!)

I purchased a ESP on my expedition after the 3yr/36,000 ran out. Just as the extended warranty was about to expire (3 days before) the tranny went out. Fully cover a band new transmission with $0 out of pocket. Would have cost me $2,500 if it wasn't covered so I was pretty happy I got it.

For $750.00 I would get it if it's premium care only.
