Default Couple questions about the avic d3.

so i posted this in the audio section and i can never ever get responses in there..

Hey guys, i just got 320 dollars in store credit at bestbuy and was thinking of putting it toward a avic d3

1) How much did u guys spend
2) Is it hard to install yourself?
3) Where did u put the antenna?
4) Is it worth bypassing?
5) Do you guys really like it? Worth the money?
6) Will all the stock speakers, and after market subs still work?

I have the Z1, but many of the questions are relevant, so.....

1 - Got mine at a closing sale, paid like $1400 for it
2 - No, just take your time and don't 'animal' the dash getting it off
3 - Up on the centre of the dash butas far forward as possible, snuggled in the screen nook.
4 - Yes. I hate not being able to change Nav settings on the move
5 - Absolutely Yes
6 - Yes

Does CompuPlus include the Install Kit with harness and Bezel? Does anyone besides Crutchfield include it?

im a z1 fan myself, actually a Z2 with w new hard drive....anyway, i agree with every that was stated in marcus's post. I got mine with TV addon, ipod adapter, bluetooth and xm navtraffic all for about 1800 from crutchfield. They had it on sale plus 15% off back in 06 and I jumped on it!

FYI ... Pioneer now sells the Avic D3 as a package D3X ... includes Bluetooth adapter, iPod cable and Remote control .... (not sure if standard D3 comes with a remote or not) .... Around $769 for the whole setup ...
