Correct. The only difference in the two part numbers is that one is for 31 spline axles and the other is for 28 spline axles. That part number you have is the correct one for 31 spine axles.

Get it here (best place IMO) and it's a few bucks cheaper...

I know lot's of guys with this and it works great. I broke it unfortunately and had to go with a detroit locker but don't let that scare you - I didn't break it until I was making over 700 ftq. Just like gears, this is NOT a mod to play around with and my advice is to take it to a shop that is experienced with differentials and the tru trak to install it. This is not one of the mods as I recommend as a DIY.

The 342ci build is underway right now. By March, I'm hoping to be able to drive it to the track, lay down an 8.90 pass, change tires, and drive it home...[8D]

The tru trak works great for the street. You will not even know it's back there as it will slip in turns just like your stocker... It's a great part and worth the investment IMO.

As far as what else in the rear to recommend?? That really depends...how much power are you making now and plan to make?

What other rear/suspension mods do you already have?

Nevermind - just read your sig...lol

I would say get yourself an LPW low profile girdle and a good panhard bar (if you don't already have it).

Other than that, the BEST mod you could do is the old style BMR extreme anti-roll bar but that you would definitely hear some squeeks and rattles on the street but it's flat out ***** best in a straight line...

In the future, start looking around at a good coilover set-up also if your looking for track improvements.

I have the qa1 shocks, bmr relocating bracket with metco upper and lower.the car is lowered and what I need to do is get my 60' down . I ve gotten some 1.66 but most is in the 1.7 range I have et streets 28" I will go down to the 26" once these are history. Whats your take on those tires? Do you think the 26" is a good idea I have 390 gears thanks

Nope - I really think you are better off with the 28" I think you'll be a too short in the 1/4 with a 26" tire. (depending on your power )

How much rwhp/tq do you make now? No offense, but your 60's seem poor to me considering your mods. You should be in the 1.5's for sure. How are you launching and at what rpm? What psi are you at B4 the burnout?

Do you have any vids of your launch? Do yu spin at all? What do you think is causing the 60's to be so high? How does it feel to you?

My first guess without knowing what kind of power you have is that you are not launching hard enough with that procharger. With your mods, I would be dumping the clutch at about 5000 rpm...

yea i think is should be alot better .I have at last dyno at jpc was480 I launched itat 4000 to 4500 but any higher it would bog down The tire presure i tried to keep 14 psi I had it down to 11 but was all over the track a top end. I do have a video and will try to post it ,never done that before .

Try setting them 12.5 B4 the burnout and do a good burnout... They are optimal at 13.5-14 psi but with a good burnout, you will gain 1-2 psi.

PS - for those reading the thread - I am talking about HIS tires. Yes, tires are different.
