Nothing comes on when I lock/unlock mine as well. Maybe it's an 07+ feature?

I had then reset my alarm after I bought the car so the lights didn't come on at all. Also had them shorten the time I had to press the trunk release button to get it to open!

Weird, mine never came on during unlock in the first place. I'm glad I never had that feature to begin with, the cringe from knowing the battery is being drained would've driven me crazy.

i read the manual for my 2006 and it says nothing about the headlights coming on when reprograming the entry must be a 07+ feature

I didn't bookmark the page but I read it today. It is a safety feature that lets you see around the car at night so the boogy man don't get you. You can disable it if you like.
