Lights on when car unlocked

Lights on when car unlocked
I am getting a set of HID head lights in the near future and I want to prevent the head lights from coming on whenever I unlock the car. I heard that this can be bad for the HIDs, is this true? Can anyone tell me how to go about disabling this feature?

Well my lights don't come on when I unlock my car anyway, only my fog lights so I don't think you'll have to worry about trying to disable them. Plus, if you think about it why would turning on and off HID lights be bad for them I mean how many times a year do you think an average person turns their lights on and then think if it was detrimental to an HID light why would they equip them from the factory to a large number of cars out on the road today? I mean if it was really a problem don't you think they would have come up with a way to efficiently work around that in the engineering stage? I'm positive it's more of a myth than any type of fact. I'm not trying to insult you or anything just honestly think about some of these things you hear then think how funny they actually sound. Hope that answers your question.

No insults taken, I was just looking for opinions. And since most believe that the lights won't be harmed then I shouldn't worry. It's just the light instructions I read online said not to use when the car is off, that's all. I do find it weird though that most of you have your fog lights or nothing come on when you unlock the remote. Is is just me that has the head lights come on?
