RE: Hihe RPM Idle when starting engine
Not that high. I would guess between 2000 and 2500. I love these forums. You guys have put my mind at ease a couple times now. I am sorry if I am appearing to be a newb.
I am more comfortable knowing this is a common occurance.

I had Brent at Brenspeed lower my cold start rpms to 1200. It used to be around 1800-2000. He adjusted my tune accordingly and emailed it to me. I downloaded it onto my tuner and then into my car. Now, the car isn't screaming when I first start it in the morning.

When it was in the 60-70's here in Austin, TX a month ago, mine would idle up to 1.5k for about 20 seconds at most then settle down to 800.
Now that the average temp in the morning is 30-40 degrees, it takes MUCH longer to idle down. More like 1-2 minutes...

Yes she does!!! By the time it idles down in my parking garage, all the car alarms on the next two levels are going off. I don't know what those idiots' motion sensors are set at but it's freakin annoying.

Sounds normal. I get 1400-1500 rpm at 20F and it takes roughly 1-2 minutes to drop to roughly 875 rpm.
Which is when I takeoff. In warmer weather itraises the rpm less and drops faster.
