Really suprised that the gt comes with true duals. It has a crossover pipe, dont know if that is factory? Like the bolt on mufflers, WHICH ARE GOING TO BE REPLACED!!!! What is the best sounding muffler for these cars?

I love my SLP Loudmouths, especially with my LTs and prochamber. I highly recommend them, but they're too loud for some people. [/align]

That crossover pipe you're describing, is called an "H" Pipe. BTW how did you make out with the temp gauge problem????

Borla "stingers" are the absolute best sounding mufflers for the S197. This is my opinion, of course, but if a poll was taken on muffler sounds on this forum, I'd bet Borla would win.

Get either the axlebacks alone: Part Number 11750

.... or the full catback system (axleback mufflers and two pipes that connect your mufflers to the H-pipe....replaces the stock pipes): Part Number 140135

They are a little pricey, but well worth it. My Borla stingers are the only mod I can't do without.

EDIT: Also, here is the forum's official exhaust clip thread. https://mustangforums.com/m_3563477/tm.htm
