IMHO, when i drive with the windows down and i go WOT, it doesnt impress me at all with the LM's. Ive let others drive my car so i could hear it from the outside, and it sounds really really good, if i were you, id look into boomtubes.
That's the funny thing about choosing an exhaust. Do you pick one based on how it sounds in the cabin with the windows up, windows down, or how it sounds when the car drives by you. Honestly, the stock exhaust was the only one that sounded good to me in the cabin with the windows up. Anything else, and it sounded bad, so I changed it.

I thought the SLP LM with the windows down was awesome and sounded pretty good on the drive by. My O/R X and MM system sound really good at most rpms with the windows down and are very loud on the drive by, but with the windows up, not the best.

So you need to decide when you want the exhaust to sound the best, windows up, down, outside.

I would go with Boomtubes over SLP. SLP just gets way too loud.

I've liked my SLPs for 8 months now.. BUt honestly, I'm tired of them. They're just too loud for daily driving. Too much attention. Loud is OK, but these things are wide open and nasty. The only reason I haven't replaced them is that I don't want to add weight back to the car by putting on real mufflers!

Anyways, you'll probably like them, but you may get tired of them quickly.

+1. I couldn't get over how good they sounded for the first couple of months. It is the closest legal sound to a NASCAR, but just imagine driving a Nascar vehicle every day, it gets old after a few months. I removed the SLP's and went with Flowmasters. Yes they are heavier, but the rumble is very pleasing and NO DRONE! 1800-2000 RPM was maddening. You had to get past 2000. Highway driving was also a pain. It wasn't deafening but just a bother. Needless to say I am now very happy with the Flowmasters!

I wouldn't get the SLP's....may as well get the pypes muffler delete axlebacks because they will sound the same and are cheaper. I think the SLP's sound like a monster/garbage/trash truck. IMO the Mac boomtubes sound MUCH better and you still get the clean look with no muffler haning down.

I originally purchased the slp's and only had them on for a week, it was just too loud for me. I love the FFRP stingers!
