Default HI-FLOWS

after much searching on here. i've decided that some high flow cats will complement my booms nicely. off road is just too harsh sounding for me i believe. i'm guessing i need to grab a pair and have them welded into my stock h.....replacing the stockers right?? my question really, is that everyone talks about hi-flows, but rarely mentions a brand. so what's the industry standard high flow cat for our S197s?? can you buy them with an hpipe so i can switch back if i want?? thanks for any direction.......

you buy a h or x-pipe with the hi flow cats already on them. slp, pypes, bassani, ect... are all companies that sell intermediate pipes with hi-flow cats built into them. i have a bassani and I love it

I have yet to see an H-pipe that come with hi-flow cats. Most, if not all, are X-pipes. Does anyone know of a brand that has H-pipes with hi-flow cats? I have boom tubes also and plan to get hi-flow cats in the future. I'm also going to get the prochamber to complete the system. The cheapest hi-flow cats I know are made by Pypes...

Also, you'll most likely have to get a muffler shop to install some O2 sensor bungs into the hi-flow cats or just before or behind the cats on the exhaust pipe section itself. All the cats I've seen don't comewith sensor bungs...like the Pypes brand for example. If you get the hi-flow cats with mid-pipes built in then they'll most likely have sensor bungs already...like these for example.

unless your tune has turned off your rear 02 sensors.

I am interested in overall feedback as well regarding the standard for hi-flo cats... I may want to install some on my o/r Prochamber.

MRT makes a high-flow H-Pipe but they are not the small, 'race cats'
