Default Wheel spacers

I LOOOOVE the look of that nicce wide stance on the stang but im not sure how far out of a spacer i would want to go. Does anybody have any pictures of what they look like once installed? I was thinking about moving the tires 1 1/4 inches to 1 1/2 inches out to get that nice wide body.. what do you guys think?

Is there a performance or structural reason not to or is that just your opinion? I would agree it would look cool but if it effects performance then absolutely not.

your gonna have to go with a bolt on spacer for anything wider than a 1/4 inch for safety reasons. as in the studs arent long enough to accomodate anything thicker and still allow enough threads for the lug nuts to hold the wheel on. anything more than an inch is going to set the tire out beyond the fender. the only down side mechanically ive read about is a concern that you will put extra load on the wheel bearings which can cause them to wear prematurely.

Wheel spacers are made to compensate for wheels and tires that are too wide, not to give the car a wider stance with narrower wheels.

If the offset is incorrect then yes you would need spacers but most people use them for making the wheels/tires stick out more

big spacers look goofy in the back, your just moving the wheels out. to do it right get bigger wheels.

ive heard of spacers coming loose, coming off. you can get them and have no proglems, but most people will agree that spacers esp. over an inch arent a good idea.
