Plastic Headlight Shield Removal
Has anyone removed or thought of removing the plastic headlight shields?? Are there major cons? Is it difficult? If anyone has pictures of it that would be cool. Sorry if this has been covered, I searched but found nothing.
Thanks!
Thanks!
Remember, in the old days headlights were not halogen. I think the protective cover is necessary to protect the more modern fragile lighting mechanism. Check with a Ford Mechanic before removing.
I haven't done it yet.. but......
The Dealer showed me how.. The front covers just "Clip" onto the front of the Bezel Frame with little tabs... I wanted to know because I am going to paint the vented side of the interior to match the car and show off the vents.
It looked like it would be damn easy.
I would not run without the cover though... the headlight is not thick glass like exterior lights are, and so would easily and quickly get destroyed by highway debris.

I've also been thinking of painting the light buckets on my torch red convertible when I get it. Has anyone done this? I've been looking on the forum and have not found any pictures.
If any of you have done it, please post the pictures.
Thanks
