Default S/C psi vs rwhp poll

Just a poll for fun.

PSI VS RWHP

I have seen this come up on Mustang forums in the last 6 months but am wondering what most believe, I have my opinion but like to see what you guys think.

Lets just say these were the only to setups just for this poll you could choose for the S197 GT (93 octane) from for going FI with a supercharger.

Which would you choose in your opinion as the safest for a stock 05-08 GT motor.

Yes I have the 10 psi at a higher rwhp for this poll and 12 psi at a lower rwhp for this poll

510rwhp 480rwtq@10psi
450rwhp430rwtq@12psi

If you want to post what you voted thats fine but if you wanttodebate letswait to the end of the poll as to not to sway others on thier voting.

PSI is PSI. Therefore, I pick 10.

It doesn't matter what the HP is, its all about what PSI you are at.

So far 50/50 this is interesting imo.

Ithink it would be better toset deadline line on pollingtomorrow 1-21-08 5:00pm CT.

After 5pm CT if those who voted want to post an opinion on what they voted and why that would be good to hear others opinions.

I will post what I voted and give my opinion what I believe.

You can't make 510 HP at 10 psi..... 24.7 psi (boost) / 14.7 psi (atmospheric) = 1.68 times more air IF YOU COULD INTERCOOL it back to ambient temp (which you can't) which gives you 270 HP (stock GT) times 1.68 = 453 HP. I don't see how it's possible to extract 60 more HP above this without putting in the air to combust....
