Boost is boost. You can drive the whipple around town without boosting. Im always in vacuum when driving around town. I can drive my car around town shifting at 4 rpm without boosting at all. You only boost when you literally floor the pedal so that deal about the centris better for the engine when driving around town is rediculous.

acl - either install is clean if you have it done. The trip to Brenspeed is totally worth it!!
Understood. I'm just specifically referring to how the Paxton kit really crowds the front of the engine. Just not my preference is all.
Good thing I was talking about the Saleen kits then, not the Paxton. [8D]

Whipple,

Reliability problems stem from the nut behind the wheel not the S/C. Be responsible and all is well.

Good luck

So what kind of price did you get for the Whipple? Does that price include the install and tune?

And can you use the Stock hood with the Whipple? Or do youneed a new hood?

So it comes with the GT500 Fuel Pump, what else do you need or get with the kit?

My Steeda/Ford dealership said it would be 8990.00 installed. That seems high to me! I am going to check with Brenspeed and Steeda directly. I need the 2008 version which I understand is slightly different.

Stock hood will fit np.

Kit is complete with everything you need.

I would recommend adding a mechanical boost vacuum gauge at a minimum.

For the Blower and install I am paying $6050. Yes the dealer is screwing you. And the whipple tune is fine unless you are looking to extract every last pony.

Steeda - check out PM for more info.
