V6 new engine for GT's?

RE: V6 new engine for GT's?
This is like Dejavu all over again.
During the gas crisis of the 70s, Ford discontinued the V8 in favor of turbocharged 4 and 6 cylynders. The discussions in the magazines were exactly the same "the end of the American V8". Then we all got used to higher gas prices and we needed/wanted mote power. The V* made a resurgence. Now, gas is getting expensive again and the same topic returns. We'll probably be having these discussions again in another 30 years.
