Default Frustration with AVIC-Z2 Continues

Well, I waited 3 weeks for shipping on my AVIC-Z2. I opended the box a few days ago and was waiting for an install. The box is marked as AVIC-Z2, all the manuals say AVIC-Z2, but looking at the unit, it is actually an AVIC-Z1. Now, I know there are not substansial differences, but this unit had no screen protector, and it looks beaten on the sides. I ordered a NEW unit. It was shown as new, not refurbished or used. I know that 1250 is cheap for a Z2, but they listed it as a Z2 and that is what I expected. I have emailed them, hopefully they will figure something out.

The only difference between the two is the Z2 has more maps and a better firmware. If anything you should have bought a Z1 and updated it with a Z2 harddrive.

I agree, the z1 can be found cheap and you can get the software update for free and a bigger HD is like $70 at most.....it kinda sounds like what you bought anyway
