Default In a very frustrating dilemma right now....

I am receiving my Saleen Series VI S/C in about two months, so I figure this is the right timeframe to post this dilemma. I know the Saleen blower had a mediocre whine to it, nothing too special though (definitely noticeable). Right now I am running the o/r H-pipe with the Saleen magnaflow mufflers and it is LOUD! I want to be able to hear the whine sooo badly but I also want to keep my awesome exhaust sound. I know that if I keep this setup, I will never hear the blower [&o]. If I switch back to a catted midpipe, I also lose about 6-8rwhp. So I am really stuck right now. I am going to post some options above and PLEASE vote and maybe give some feedback below. I know it is my choice, but I am asking for your opinions. Thanks so much guys, you are awesome!

I'd keep your exhaust. If you want whine you'll hear you'll need to go for another SC... You'll hear it even over the loudest exhaust on WOT...

Keep the exhaust. I prefer for them not to hear the whine until it's to late (KB's are pretty quite).

I guess you could say I prefer to hear them whine when I beat them.

Thats what I would do. Keep the exhaust and then surprise them. You never know you may still be able to hear the whine a little.

i'm in the minority, but i would want to hear the whine, too - maybe the catted midpipe is the way to go...

Sorry Mickey but you need to keep your exhaust setup and go for a S/C w/ a louder whine (Whipple FTW) lol although i understand you want to stay all saleen! Dont change your exhaust setup (you will regret it) IMO Goodluck with your choice

i guess boomtubes are out of the question.

i voted to keep the exhaust the way it is. you could always swap back to stock H-pipe and see how it sounds if you still have it, it is fairly easy swap since you do have access to a lift at HCM.

or what about smaller pulley on the saleen sc, i heard that will make the whine louder.

but anyway you look at it, this is a good problem to have: SC, great car, loud exhaust. most people would kill to be in your position. so any decision you make, your car will still be great.
