stumble when started cold
Mygt500 the reboot sounds like a good idea. (Is MSFT in there somewhere. ) I did it and will let you know how it worked in the morning. This AM when I started it felt a bit of a stumble but I nudged the go pedal and it went immediately to high idle. That would make sense if it was too rich since I gave it (I think) a little more air.
Its probably just the cold air in the morning. When it got really cold here last week my car did the same thing two days. Then as soon as it warmed back up into the high 20's to low 30's in the AM it started like normal.
I have seen this as well........with temps of 10-20 degrees F. Engines aren't perfect!.....cold start problems are everyone problems.......motor oil has to lube some parts before thing start to purr. High RPM's at startup are normal.......they will drop when things are right. Avoid revving your engine at startup, and let your engine do what it does, give yourself some extra time to let your RPM's drop to 700 before you drive in the mornings.(your car will thank you) You will have a warm car, nice ride, (save your wiper-blades and windshield fluid) *TIP* turn your key to "ON position" and listen for the fuel pump to kick off before you try to start in cold weather.....then try to start.
Still waiting to see what happens.....Marcus it makes since that the S/C would interfere with air flow on start up when real cold as well......Lidio said it was the tune and I was rich and it has helped greatly!I have not started it in less than 20 degree weather and am waiting until this weekend or early next week to start her up! (should be in the low 30's)....I only do it once a month when I think about it (hard not to being a mod and all....LOL) J
I know when I was running my 3v with the KB I had the same problem on start up when it was cold. It would stumble pretty bad because it was rich. Might want to check the plugs also if it's been going on a while.
