Default CDC Chin Spoiler

I need someone to do me a BIG favour! I'm looking at getting the classic chin spoiler from CDC and i am concerned about clearance issues. Can someone who has one measure from the bottem of the spoiler to the ground for me. Would be greatly appreiciated!

Just keep in mind that the vertical clearance is not where "clearance issues" are created here. (I have the agressive and the vertical clearance is about the same with stock springs as mentioned) The compromise is the fact that the spoiler juts out forward quite a bit putting the leading edged that is forward of the tire contact patch that much more. This is why steep driveways, speed bumps become something to be aware of. With stock spring though, don't worry about it, just be aware. With Pro-Kit you need to be more aware and with Sportlines even more aware; but it's all manageable especially with the Classic. I would not recommend the agressive on a daily driver. Just my .02

ya just have to learn to drive like the lowriders do. I can still do pretty steep driveways, I just take them at an angle, instead of straight on. I've only got the classic with stock springs though. I'd agree on the comments about the aggressive. I'm also concerned about parking blocks, but forgot a while back. It actually cleared the block by 1/4 inch. Now if the rebar was sticking up I'd have been screwed.

Thanks for the Measurement!

I will prolly just go with the classic and just drive pretty careful, It would just be pretty crappy to put it on the scrape up against something in the first week.....that would suck.

The cdc classic chin creates an illusion that it sticks down about 2 inches lower than stock but it really doesn't because it where it attaches it covers about 1" of the stock bumper. It really only sticks down 1" lower than stock, now I have installed roush rear springs to level car & it brought the front up a little, I measure 7.5" at the center with 18" whells & my car is a vert which may sit a little different. 7.5" is pretty good clearance & in 6 months I haven't touched anything with it (knock on wood).

Agree with jmk3. It does lower it a bit but if your have stock springs you should be fine on clearance.
