It is an easy install but you may run into a bit of a problem with some areas being too tight to get the material stuffed all the way into the slot in the panel. They bottom out before they are all the way in. What I did was cut off about a 1/8" of the material lengthwise in those tight areas and it went in just fine. Another suggestion is to use a nail with the head ground off to connect the two ends together so they stay together (see the 2nd photo). I used a spiral nail that fit snugly into the material's ends.

Or you can do what you did.....use the body of a nail.
Yeah, I had to trim mine down some too in places where it was tight, but it was an easy mod.
