What beats me is that they sure don't have $500 in each oneofthem.
The time consuming is making the mold, then you can spit them out.
They are all over priced, especially since it's never ready for paint.

I was complaining about my $980 aluminum Foose hood, but now, I say it's a good deal[8D].
The OEM is $740.

Mine is Cervinis fiberglass and I guess I was lucky IMO. The paint and body guy did charge me more for the prep that did go into the hood but I have not had any problems with the paint and it is smooth so I am happy! J

Yeah. The one I'm working on here is only worth $50.
Problem is, the customer paid over $400 for it[8D].

It's wavy as hell, the gelcoat quality sucks and who ever made the mold for this thing, forgot that the corners by the fenders are not supposed to be straight, but slightly curved.
The pictures show the poor fit.

So, $400 for the hood, $200 for the extralabor (cheap) and $300 for paint.
Ouch! It's a $900 hood!

Pascal I know what mean about fiberglass hoods,I hate when a customer brings in a hood and just want's it painted and you tell them that 5 to 8 hours extra labor just to prep the hood for paint, almost all of them are wavy, you have to prime and block them atleast 2 to 3 times to get them straight!! then you may have to build up the edeges to fit the car,it's a crap shoot wirh fiberglass hoods!

You're in the same boat that I am, so you understand...
I feel like they give youa sheet of fiberglass then you have to shape it[8D].
F. that! I bough a HOOD, not a piece of fiberglass.

Mine required very little prep work. My body guy was very happy with it.

I bought from cervinis a hood for my 5.0...the shop said that it was one of the best fiberglass hoods they had seen in a long time. Almost no prep work done to it.

+1

Our shop guy is always a little worried when a hood comes in but is consistantly impressed with the quality of the Cervinis products. Through his multi year background and loads of horror stories Cervinis has impressed him quite a bit.

I love my Cervinis and Cervinis products in general. Zero problems.
