Almost bought a 'terminator' before I bought my 2005 GT. I was torn between performance and style. I chose style.

I've had most of the body styles and lovedthem all, I loved the way my 99 Cobra looked after I invested all the mods for it. My 91 fox body was awesome after I sank 18k into it. In fact I wish I had all of them still.

Me, I never planned to have one.
I have my old Cougar, a 68 Fastback that I have to finish up and my F150 for chasing parts. So I'm set.
Let's just say that if my wife had gotten a S95, I would never had modded it.
When I look at the 06, I can see a little bit of my 68 in it, so that did it for me.
Not to mention that there are sh#tload of stuff available for it, like no other car.
You can really play Lego with the S197.

I like them both. In my opinion, a clean, well kept new edge Mustang is still one of the best looking cars on the road.
For me, the dark days of auto design are the 1970's. (Aside from the 1968-1973 Corvette. I owned a 1971.) I look at say a 1969 Charger, see one of the ugliest cars ever. Lines like that should stay in the past, which is why I think the "new" Challenger is repulsive. [:'(]
Those that aren't into retro cars, and there are many, sometimes prefer the new edge to the S197. They aren't "wrong" they just have different tastes.
Personally, I love the looks of the S197, it maintains the best part of the older Mustangs and does away with the worst.
I'd like to see the 2010 to get a more sleek, modern look. From the spy shots I've seen, it looks exactly like what Ford is doing.

I loved my '03. And this is a subject that really tears me. First of all, there's not one Mustang I don't like. Overall I like the S197 better. But I love the New Edge Stangs a lot, too. It didn't have the nostalgic factor that the S197 does, but it had a very sleek look. I still miss my '03. I will say that I like the interior on the S197 10x better than the SN95. And I find few S197's hotter than a '03-'04 Cobra with 10.5" deep dish wheels.
