Default 2005-2008 Carpet Question

I have a 2007 Convertible that I purchased from a local dealer. The Mustang was a rental in California and found its way through auction to here. I was wondering if anyone on the forum has noticed the carpet near the tunnel in the back seat areas does not fit snugly to the floor and has started to rip. Both sides of mine now has holes which I intend on taking back to the dealer before the warranty runs out. I also noticed the back seat leather in some areas looks like it has been spray painted in an effort to match the rest of the leather. Has anyone else run across this?

You bought a rental? Yikes, I hope you got it for a really good price. I'd be a bit nervous as strangers renting a Mustang most likely don't drive it and treat it with much respect. I recommend taking it back to the dealer to get those items checked out right away.

Well, the Hertz is more collectible and that's the main reason you would buy one of them.

Well, $17,500 for a convertible was not too bad considering what one would have cost me on ebay. Most other dealers were in the $20,000 range. I was looking for a vehicle in the 16-18K price range even if it was used. Its a clean car and yes I knew it was a rental before I bought it (carfax).

Looks like a clean car. You knew it was a rental, the price was goodand you have warranty time left so what's the down side? I purchased the wife a 04 exrental in late 2004 and she ran the sh%t out of it with no problems at all. Ended up trading it in for a new 06 a little over a year later.
