CDC Shaker and Winter
All right, I've had my eye on the CDC shaker system for quite a while now and a vendor was having a one day sale today that was too hard to pass up..... I ordered it. You guys are killing me.......each time I think I have everything I want....there's something else (I was just reading Taco Bills shaker install last night).
Anyway, I've seen posts about the shaker and rain, but does anyone run theirs in the winter? My car is a daily driver for the most part, I do split time with my 2004 F150 FX4, but I love driving the car so much that I only drive the truck when the weather is really nasty or I need to haul something. I do worry about slush and salt and winter road grime flying around and I was just wondering if anyone with a shaker drives regularly in the winter (in the North...Florida and the like doesn't count)and what they have experienced. I guess this might have been a good question before I ordered it?
Thanks

I was thinking more about salt or slush getting in there. I doubt it would make it back to the filter, but it could dirtythings up some. Is it easy to pull apart for cleaning? I know some people are cringing at the thought of salt and slush, but I decided I wanted to drive this car...........and I am very surprised at how well it does in the snow and ice as long as it's not too deep.

It's designed to be good. You route drain tubes down away from the engine.
My car has never even seen natural RAIN though, Haha. Im that **** about it.

DUH! It's still above freezing when the engine is warm.
I don't think they are a supporting vendor, but it is CJPonyparts. It's a one day special today. You have to select the item and click details and it will show the sale price. I was so surprised at how low it was, I called them to make sure. Forgive me me if I was wrong in posting about a non-supporting vendor....I'm a bit of a newb to this forum stuff and I don't know all the rules?

Anyway, snow/slush shouldn't be an issue. The instructions only caution not to intentionally spray down the scoop when you're washing the car. [8D]
